GMADA Gets Strict on Industrial, Residential Violators in Mohali
Mohali (Mera Chandigarh): The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has issued notices to near about 70 industrial units as well as to the residential premises in Mohali for violating the set norms.
Mohali (Mera Chandigarh): The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has issued notices to near about 70 industrial units as well as to the residential premises in Mohali for violating the set norms.
As per the available information, GMADA has issued notice to industrial units that have shut shop or are using industrial plots for purposes other than those for which they were allotted as they are misusing them for their personal benefits that are against set rules.
According to rules, the residents are not allowed to run commercial activities and open up the gates along the roads, especially the main roads (A-roads) in Mohali. There are several examples wherein owners of houses in Phases 1, II, 3B1, IV, VII have given their back courtyard on rent to persons who have opened up shops along the main road.
Moreover, the running of paying guest accommodations without the permission of respective authority also amounts to the violation of norms.
