Mohali (Mera Chandigarh): The water samples of Mohali village collected by Punjab Health Department have failed the potability water test on Wednesday. As per the confirmed reports, six water samples out of the 12 collected from Mohali, Shahimajra and Madanpur villages have failed the drinking water potability test.

As per the confirmed reports, six water samples out of the 12 collected from Mohali, Shahimajra and Madanpur villages have failed the drinking water potability test.

The alarming result have forced the Mohali Deputy Commissioner P.S.Mand to hold an emergency meeting with senior officials of the Mohali district formed a four-member committee comprises Civil Surgeon,Sub-Divisional Magistrate,Executive Engineer,Public Health and MC Executive Officer to check the source of contamination water in the affected areas of the villages lying in the periphery of Mohali.

It is to mention here that as of now, 196 cases pertaining to diarrhea has been reported at the Mohali civil Hospital.
