Gen S F Rodrigues Inspects Chandigarh Development Projects

Chandigarh(Mera Chandigarh): Chandigarh Administrator Gen S.F. Rodrigues on Wednesday Visited Maloya to inspect progress of work at Second Phase of Vocational Training Centre for Street Children at Maloya, Regional Institute for Mentally Handicapped, Sector 31 and New OPD Block of Super-Specialty Hospital in Sector 16.

Chandigarh(Mera Chandigarh): Chandigarh Administrator Gen S.F. Rodrigues on Wednesday Visited Maloya to inspect progress of work at Second Phase of Vocational Training Centre for Street Children at Maloya, Regional Institute for Mentally Handicapped, Sector 31 and New OPD Block of Super-Specialty Hospital in Sector 16.

Gen Rodrigues also launched the construction work of 7 storeyed Block – E in Government Medical College and Hospital Sector 32, Chandigarh being constructed at an estimated cost of about Rs. 16.00 crore.

 During his inspection visit to Second Phase of Vocational Training Center for Street Children, General Rodrigues directed the officers to make the second phase functional by 1st of February, 2009 to accommodate 300 street girls with all support structure for empowering them.

Home Secretary, Mr. Ram Niwas, Finance Secretary, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Chairman Chandigarh Housing Board Mohanjeet Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Mr.R.K. Rao and other senior officers of the Chandigarh Administration, also accompanied Gen S.F. Rodrigues at the sites.
