Chandigarh Transport Undertaking Doubles Local Bus Fare

Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): The Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) has
decided to double the bus fares.
Information and confirmation to this effect as shared by Ram Niwas, Home
Secretary that,” We have decided, in principle, to increase the bus fares from
January 2010.”
ML Sharma, Director of the CTU also said that “The bus fares are being
enhanced to cop up expenses of the new buses being introduced in the city for a
faster and better service.
It is to mention that Chandigarh has received 14 buses from the JNURRM scheme.
