Chandigarh Plans for Electricity Distribution System for Colonies

Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): Chandigarh administration in collaboration with Power authorities on Wednesday have decided to provide a high voltage electricity distribution system plan worth Rs1,751-crore to 16 rehabilitation colonies of the city.

Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): Chandigarh administration in collaboration with Power authorities on Wednesday  have decided to provide a high voltage electricity distribution system plan worth Rs1,751-crore to 16  rehabilitation colonies of the city.

Information to this effect was shared by Chandigarh's power department's chief engineer Surinder Pal, the respective plan has been proposed in city beautiful Chandigarh in order to curb illegal connections and power theft in the city and to generate more revenue.

It is to mention here that the Chandigarh has housed near about 300,000 immigrants residing in 25,000 rehabilitation dwelling units meant for slums.
