Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): The Chandigarh Police has decided to issue special identity card to senior citizens to overcome the traffic woes in the city.

As per the available information, The Chandigarh Police has come out with an extraordinary thought of issuing special I-cards to the senior citizens of Chandigarh to facilitate them with free parking, getting out of traffic jams, to get various works done easily in departments of Chandigarh Administration.
According to Jasbir Singh Cheema, deputy superintendent of police (traffic), Chandigarh, the authorities have approached to Chandigarh Municipal Corporation and Administration to put this move on success as early as possible.
Meanwhile, the Chandigarh Police have decided to launch this special I-card for senior citizens in Chandigarh by June. This special I-card will also have a telephone number of police control room that will benefit the senior citizens especially those who live alone to tackle any emergency.
