Chandigarh(Mera Chandigarh):A man and his son arrested by Chandigarh Police on Friday for allegedly duping over 100 people of Rs.2.5 million.

According to information 55 year-old Mohan Lal, Tirath Kumar started the Time Cooperative Thrift and Credit Company in 2006. They invited investment from people, promising to double the money in just 15 months.

As per information given by police officials the duo targeted mostly fruit and vegetable vendors and collected monthly installments ranging from Rs.300 to Rs.1, 000. When people demanded their money back, the two men started avoiding them. In the meantime, someone came to know that Mohan Lal was selling his house and planning to run away. They informed the police
