Panjab University Syndicate Offers Increased Number of Seats in 36 Colleges
Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): The Panjab University Syndicate on Sunday has come up with a decision to increase the number of seats in 36 Panjab university affiliated colleges.
Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): The Panjab University Syndicate on Sunday has come up with a decision to increase the number of seats in 36 Panjab university affiliated colleges.
According to reports, the Panjab university administration has come forth with a decision of increasing 20 seats each in every course of the respective colleges, who have applied for the same in the last syndicate meeting.
As per the sources, out of 36 colleges 14 colleges belong to Chandigarh, who have been given permission to increase seats on the condition that late fee of Rs 2,500 will have to be paid to the university for each such admission and will follow the increase of seats pertaining to under-graduate courses comprising BCom, BBA and BCA.
Apart from above, the Panjab University Syndicate meet has also decided to reduce the fee for the second chance offered to compartment students by Rs 1,500 from Rs 7,500 to Rs 6,000.
It was also decided to slash the fee charged for the four-year BA-BEd course to be reduced to half in the first year, with a subsequent fee increase of Rs 5,000 each year.
