Chandigarh Consumer Forum Orders Oriental Insurance Company Limited to Pay Rs3.41 lakh

Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): The Chandigarh Consumer Forum has directed Oriental Insurance Company Limited to pay Rs 3.41 lakh as compensation to the Mohali based resident Rajinder Singh.

Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): The Chandigarh Consumer Forum has directed Oriental Insurance Company Limited to pay Rs 3.41 lakh as compensation to the Mohali based resident Rajinder Singh.

According to Rajinder Singh, the complainant had insured his car from Oriental Insurance Company on October 2007 that was met with an accident in Nawanshahr district on April 2008.The complainant has asked the company for insurance claim but was rejected to get the claim causing mental agony to the complainant.

The Chandigarh Consumer Forum after hearing the case of both the parties has settled the matter in favour of the complainant and found Oriental Insurance Company Limited guilty for harassing the complainant.
