Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): The Chandigarh administration has decided to close down apni-mandis in Sectors -33, 43, 49 and 40 on Friday.
Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): The Chandigarh administration has decided to close down apni-mandis in Sectors -33, 43, 49 and 40 on Friday.
As per the available information, the Chandigarh land acquisition officer has ordered Municipal Corporation from stop running apni-mandis in the four sectors as the earmarked land comes under Chandigarh Administration.
According to P.K. Sharma, Additional Commissioner, MC Chandigarh, the authorities have received the orders in this concern and will going to appeal administration to not to close these apni-mandis keeping in mind the interest of Chandigarh residents.
It is to mention here that the apni-mandis in sectors- 33, 43, 49 and 40 of Chandigarh are being run by the Punjab Mandi Board and the MC charges a fee from every vendor as a part of their revenue generation.
