According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, tight end Rob Gronkowski doesn't now plan to participate in the team's voluntary offseason conditioning program set to begin Monday. The development follows months of speculation regarding Gronkowski's desire to continue his career. Ultimately, we'd be very surprised if Gronkowski didn't play this season, but until that's confirmed his status will be worth monitoring.

Of course, the real takeaway from Schefter's report is that Gronkowski and the Pats "have had good communication" as the tight end works through his decision.

Gronkowski has dealt with numerous significant injuries during his career, leading to retirement rumors after Super Bowl LII.

Lincoln man accused of sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl
Magisterial District Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz arraigned him on Tuesday night and released Disbrow on $25,000 unsecured bail. London police say a man is charged after a woman reported being sexually assaulted by a man she met on a dating website.

Rob Gronkowski will not be at the Patriots' workout Monday.

Monday's offseason workouts are voluntary.

It's worth noting that quarterback Tom Brady is also not expected to show up for the team's first offseason workout either. There yet to be any clear indication of whether Gronkowski will return to action for the 2018 campaign. But Brady, who is traveling with his family, now isn't believed to be thinking about not playing next season; Gronk definitely is.
