That's when the alleged relationship between the father and daughter began, leading to Steven Pladl's separation from his wife, Katie' mother. "He killed her father and I can't even believe this is happening", the woman tells the dispatcher.

Steven is Katie's biological father. "If anybody had a remote idea anybody was in harm's way there would have been no bond set", Friedman said.

She asked police to check on her grandson, Bennett Pladl.

A man in South Africa has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after he threw his 6-month-old daughter off the roof of his home during a police standoff.

Katie had been put up for adoption shortly after she was born, but chose to look up her birth parents on social media after she turned 18.

Found slain throughout the pickup truck with Katie Pladl was her adoptive father, 56-year-old Anthony Fusco, Capps talked about. They developed information on a suspect vehicle, which was later spotted several miles away across the New York State line in Dover.

Steven Pladl was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his light blue mini-van in the town of Dover, Connecticut.

Earlier today, police responded to Steven Pladl's home on Earlston Court in Knightdale, North Carolina at around 9 a.m. and located a deceased infant, who was later identified as Steven and Katie Pladl's son, 7-month-old Bennett Pladl.

While police suspect the couple's recent breakup may have triggered the attack, they are still investigating the exact motive, said New Milford Police Lt. Lawrence Ash. "He told me to call police, not to go over there [myself]".

Lincoln man accused of sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl
Magisterial District Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz arraigned him on Tuesday night and released Disbrow on $25,000 unsecured bail. London police say a man is charged after a woman reported being sexually assaulted by a man she met on a dating website.

Police who were called to the residence by Steven's mother asking them to perform a welfare check at 9am, came upon the boy's lifeless body. Police then found Steven, who was 43 or 44, in a minivan in NY on Thursday.

Capps said it was his understanding Steven Pladl drove to the NY area "for the specific objective of making some confrontations". He said Katie Pladl had been living in NY with her adoptive parents.

Authorities took out search warrants January 31 seeking DNA samples from Steven and Katie Pladl and from the boy believed to be their infant son.

Steven Pladl eventually left his wife to be with Katie, warrants say.

The mother said Steven's daughter/wife had broken up with him over the phone the day before.

"He killed his wife".

Two years ago when Katie Pladl turned 18, like many adopted children, she attempted to find her biological parents.

"We're trying to make sense of all of the factors that led up to this senseless taking of life", Capps said. Pladl's mother said he was upset because the woman had broken up with him.

Steven Pladl and Katie Pladl later married, according to CBS affiliate WTVR. She said she believed Steven brainwashed and manipulated Katie.
