Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Apr 07 (ANI): Actor Salman Khan left Jodhpur Central Jail and reached airport on Saturday after he was.

Some tried to cling to the sides of his sports utility vehicle and scores of motorbikes followed Khan as he was driven at high speed to Jodhpur airport to a waiting chartered jet.

The scenes were more intense outside his Mumbai residence. He can not leave India without court permission.

Most of his family members, including sisters Arpita and Alvira, have been in Jodhpur since Wednesday to be with Khan.

The district and sessions court heard arguments on the suspension of sentence and bail application before deferring the matter till today.

The 52-year-old was convicted of the poaching of rare deer on Tuesday, and was sentenced to five years in jail and a fine of 10,000 rupees (£110).

The actor is alleged to have shot and killed blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur on the night of 1 October, 1998 during the shooting of the film "Hum Saath Saath Hain".

Four other actors who starred with him in the movie and were also charged with the offence have been acquitted.

Tyronn Lue to Rejoin Cavaliers as Observer vs. Pelicans After Leave
Lue has been on medical leave the past six games after he had stepped away during a game against the Chicago Bulls. Assistant coach, Larry Drew , has been in charge for the past six games, leading the Cavaliers to a 5-1 record.

The actor enjoys a cult-like status and is affectionately known by the Hindi name "bhai", or "brother".

Khan has faced other charges in the past. Salman has earlier spent a total of 18 days in the jail in 1998, 2006 and 2007, all for cases of poaching.

Meanwhile, the People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), an animal rights group, have expressed disappointment in the case.

However, Khan has now been granted £550 bail while he appeals against his conviction. Actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam, were let off for lack of evidence.

He finished second behind Shah Rukh Khan in the 2017 Bollywood earnings rankings.

Mahesh Manjrekar, an actor and filmmaker, told the Press Trust of India that Mr. Khan had been treated unfairly. Although this gives the star another chance to wriggle out of the sentence, it still raises the question - what would happen to brand Salman Khan ultimately?

Khan's convicted was expected to be a roadblock for a number of his upcoming movies - these include Race 3, Bharat, Dabangg 3 and Kick 2.

The Rajasthan government has challenged his acquittal in the Chinkara deer case in the Supreme Court.
