Reports of active shooter at YouTube HQ

Eastern. At 4:28 p.m. EST, the account, added, "We are responding to an active shooter".

Police and emergency services responded to the "active scene" after multiple emergency calls were received.

He said he saw blood on the floors and stairs. Four other people were taken to area hospitals for treatment, and at least one is in critical condition.

Sherman said he initially thought the sound of people running was an "earthquake" before realising a shooter had stormed the building. Dozens of employees were being frisked by officers as they lined up after evacuating the building.

The White House said President Donald Trump was briefed on a shooting and that officials were monitoring it. "Thank you to our phenomenal Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders that are now on the scene", President Trump tweeted. "And people screaming", said the employee, who was in a building down the street.

There are reports of multiple injuries. Authorities say the women believed to be the shooter has died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Separate figures in the report show it was expecting to pay $100 million to $200 million in taxes at the US state level in 2017. White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said Wednesday no specific policies were now being considered in regards to Amazon.

YouTube staff stand outside the building with their hands up after evacuating their office amid reports of an active shooter.

YouTube parent company Google tweeted: "YouTube situation, we are coordinating with authorities and will provide official information here from Google and YouTube as it becomes available". Mangiante said she did not see or notice anything.

Witnesses reported helicopters on the scene as well as police SWAT teams.

The headquarters is about 12 miles south of downtown San Francisco, close to San Francisco International Airport.

Last month, YouTube announced it would ban content promoting the sale of guns and gun accessories as well as videos that teach how to make guns.
