Declan Donnelly hosted Saturday Night Takeaway solo for the very first time this weekend, thanks to his co-presenter Ant McPartlin's decision to seek treatment following his arrest and charge for drink driving.

Ant, meanwhile, has entered rehab after being charged with drink driving following a vehicle crash in London earlier in the month.

Ricky is good pals with Ant and Dec, whom he credits for the Kaiser Chiefs big break during an appearance on Saturday Night Takeaway 14 years ago.

Dr. Helen Driscoll is a psychologist at Sunderland University and feels for December.

A forthcoming TV show featuring Ant and Dec is reported to have been put on hold as it features the duo drinking alcohol.

The presenter is without his normal sidekick after Ant stepped down from his TV commitments when he was charged with drink driving earlier this month.

He made no direct reference to Ant's absence, choosing instead to make a few jokes about him being alone - which went down well with viewers.

Saturday. "We started this event as a fun way for dogs and dog parents to participate in traditional Easter activities". The eggs were divided among two fields, one for hunters ages five to nine and the other for toddlers.

At the end of the show, he told viewers: "Thanks for all the support". "We have got a jam-packed show, this week we have lots to cram in and twice the amount of work to do", he joked.

Scarlett Moffatt and Stephen Mulhern will be on hand in their regular support roles.

Following the airing of the pre-recorded sketch which saw Ant and Dec reunited, Merchant said: "That other guy was good, you should do more stuff with him".

Once he was in his stride - and perhaps had caught a glimpse of the avalanche of love coming his way on social media - Dec well and truly smashed it.

Taking to Twitter, Dec wrote: 'Thanks for all your lovely messages tonight, they are VERY much appreciated, I'm glad you enjoyed the show.

Donnelly who recently confirmed he is going to be a father, will also present next week's final episode in Florida alone.

"@SamdySonxxxxx posted: "@antanddec @itvtakeaway Dec you did yourself & Ant proud, it was a fabulous but emotional show, keep smiling. looking forward to next week".
