The Ramblers have extended the streak in the NCAA Tournament by excelling in the clutch, winning its four NCAA Tournament games by a combined four points, including Thursday night's 69-68 win over Nevada.
"This is fantastic. Go Loyola!" said Zoey Doane, student.
"I'll probably remember it for the rest of my life", Townes said. So they've got to be pretty good, and whatever they've done here as of late, they're hot. Caleb Martin answered with a 3 for Nevada, but the seventh-seeded Wolf Pack couldn't extend their string of second-half comebacks in the tournament.
"When we're noisy on defense, we're really good", said Moser, whose team won for the 13th straight time and 20th time in its last 21 games. "Those guys keep coming at you, coming at you". And we're happy to talk to them, and we're happy to have them along on this run.
11th-seeded Ramblers one victory from a Final Four appearance.
What a game. Hopefully the Ramblers can keep their run going against the victor of Kentucky and Kansas State when they meet in the Elite 8 on Saturday.
Its 1963 title run was also marked by captivating moments from a team that won while breaking through racial barriers by starting four African-American players.
Gonzaga, whose largest lead was three in the first half, got within five points at 59-54 when Corey Kispert made a 3-pointer with 5:21 remaining, but the Zags failed to get enough stops at the other end to get closer.
Following a 4-4 tie, Nevada took the lead with an 8-0 run that included a layup and two free throws by Jordan Caroline.

"I'll have to scout them first", Sister Jean said. "Feels like a dream". Cody Martin, Caleb's twin brother, contributes 13.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
"I should have denied the catch", Martin said of the pass to Townes. The Ramblers forced six turnovers by halftime, held Nevada to 33.3 percent shooting on 27 attempts, and held the Wolfpack scoreless for the final seven minutes and 55 seconds of the opening half.
Loyola pushed the ball in the paint on nearly every possession.
In 29 games, 22 being starts, Williams averaged 10.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 25.6 minutes per game, shooting 62.7 percent from the field.
In the second half, the Wolf Pack doubled down on a smothering defense that forced Loyola into three shot-clock violations and another half-dozen hurried, off-balance attempts.
But this night belonged to Townes and the Ramblers.

We've also been repeatedly reminded just how deep this team is.
