Now, with the National Football League combine this weekend in Indianapolis, multiple teams have reportedly asked Lamar Jackson to take reps at wide receiver.
Jackson made for a great one at Louisville, where he threw 57 touchdowns to just 19 interceptions his final two years and won the nation's most prestigious individual award as just a sophomore. He had 3543 passing yards and 30 touchdowns as well as 1571 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns.
As the NFL Scouting Combine continues the New England Patriots are in need of a backup Quarterback.
"I'm not going to be at wide receiver at all tomorrow", Jackson said.
Jackson also clarified that his mother, Felicia Jones, is his manager and that he hired a lawyer to negotiate his contract rather than an agent because of the current rookie wage scale.
Let the haters talk all they want because one thing is clear, they won't be playing on Sundays and Jackson will, as a quarterback.
Ukraine warned the European Union for possible crisis of natural gas supplies
President Petro Poroshenko has stated that Ukraine has sufficient natural gas reserves in its underground storage facilities. The decision to terminate the contracts was made after the Stockholm Court of Arbitration violated Gazprom's interests.
- Zachary Swiecicki (@zachswies) March 2, 2018 " Lamar Jackson, speaking of size, quarterback or wide receiver at the next level?" asked Adnan Virk on ESPN this morning. "I have a lot of learning to do - I'm just ready". However, from the bunch comes arguably the most athletically gifted, and most polarizing of them all, Louisville's Lamar Jackson. "You gonna get the salary you're going to get". I really thought I did!
"... I think if he's going to make it, he's going to make it as a quarterback in the right situation". He's expected to run a blazing 40-yard dash, though he won't be doing so at the combine. He's a quarterback. Trying to move him to wide receiver is very dumb and just plain ol' racist.
Added Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome: "I don't know what other teams think about him, but on our board he's a quarterback". "This is not the Dolphins with Ronnie Brown and Rickie Williams".
Essentially, because Jackson is fast and capable of ripping off explosive plays with the ball in his hands, teams are thinking he could potentially shift positions. "I love the game with a passion". I love to score.
"I know the veterans want to win".
Ron Jaworski, who spends many important hours of his life obsessing over THE FILM, says Jackson is a star. If he can be the same way with teams at the combine, there will be teams that are intrigued by him.
