This much-neede streamlining bundles together the two major payment services that the company has in tow - Android Pay for online payments and Google Wallet for peer-to-peer payments with United States or UK cards or bank accounts. The Android Pay app on the Play Store is being changed to Google Pay, and while there's a new logo and tweaked UI, all of Android Pay's core functionality is still here.

You can find the Google Pay app on the Google Play store right now, as it has replaced the Android Pay app. But, for now, the new feature will be limited to Google apps which include Feed and Search. Google's renamed Google Wallet to Google Pay Send to indicate that it's been brought into the Pay brand. The company has now started rolling out the new Google Pay app for Android.

It's quite obvious that this latest Google app feature is still on infancy stage, indicating that there will be improvements to come in future versions.

Sando had posted his piece to an online notes-sharing network used by Borges and other sports reporters nationwide. The Boston Herald has pulled Borges' column off its website and says it is investigating the matter.

Android Pay becomes Google Pay, as expected, and that's the name used by Google throughout the despite the logo clearly suggesting that people will also call it "G Pay" - I guess it doesn't matter either way.

Want to accept Google Pay for your app, site or business? It's where you'll store your credit and debit cards, loyalty programs, offers, and even that stack of gift cards from last year's birthday. Rather than process payments, the Google Pay API will pass the credentials to a payments processor such as Braintree or Stripe. "We give developers a very simple API to implement Google Pay", Bhat noted, "The API is simple because we are not processing that payment". You will also need a root-enabled file explorer like MiXplorer and a basic text editing app. You can also pay transit fare with Google Pay in certain cities, and you can choose Google Pay at checkout rather than filling out payment forms.

This is clearly just the first step for Google Pay, though, and it seems that the company has big plans for the service. It is possible that Google continues with the Tez branding for the UPI payments and offers it as a part of the Google Pay along with the standalone app.
