"We should put all the negativity that has dogged our country behind us because a new dawn is upon us and a wonderful dawn has arrived", Ramaphosa said.

Ramaphosa was Mandela's chosen successor, but when he lost the race for deputy president to Mbeki, those plans were scrapped. They deny all allegations of wrongdoing.
Wednesday's operation was linked to the Vrede Farm scandal in which the three Guptas and government officials are accused of stealing money allocated to benefit poor farmers.
