With Duke, Clemson and North Carolina also included, the ACC comprised 25 percent of the top 16.

If the tournament started today, the Blue Devils would be the No. 2 seed in the East Region with Villanova as the top seed, Texas Tech as the No. 3 seed and Ohio State seeded fourth.

The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee revealed the current top 16 teams in the bracket Sunday.

This obviously doesn't mean that Auburn will still be a 2 seed in a month, but when the selection committee unveiled a top 16 a year ago, 15 of 16 teams were the same when the real bracket came out.

However, they did not significantly damage Purdue's NCAA Tournament resume in the eyes of the selection committee.

Tottenham sign Lucas Moura from PSG for £25m
Linked with a January move, Moura had been gaining interest from a number of European clubs, such as Valencia and Real Betis. But for me it's very painful because that situation happened and it looks like we don't have a plan you know.

Virginia was projected as the No. 1 overall seed (in the South region) and joined on the 1-line by Villanova (East), Xavier (Midwest) and Purdue (West). If those seeds held, Xavier would get preference for the Midwest Region in Omaha because it is the higher seed.

The Tigers, now 20-4 overall and 9-3 in second-place in the ACC, play at Florida State Wednesday night for a 7:05 tipoff.

The Jayhawks are 19-6 overall and 8-4 in Big 12 play. Auburn's only losses this season have come against teams rated 17th (Texas A&M), 33rd (Alabama) and 39th in the RPI (Temple). Instead, the Spartans were named as one of the four No. 3 seeds.

Other ACC teams in line for top-four seeds are Clemson at No. 9 and North Carolina, which was ranked No. 12 after a strong week with wins against Duke and N.C. State.

The rankings could certainly change before the field of 68 is selected on March 11 with more than 1,000 games yet to be played.
