The young princess seems to be a step ahead of her brother Prince George who can count to 10 in Spanish aged just 3.
Kensington Palace has released two images of Princess Charlotte as she begins her first day at nursery school.
According to People magazine, the royal tot has picked up a second language from her Spanish nanny, Maria Turrion Borrallo, who hails from Palencia.
Sources quoted by Daily Mail are claiming that the young princess is already speaking Spanish.
According to sources, Prince William and Charlotte usually communicate in this language, adding that she is "very sweet and very confident, and is always chatting".

Previous year the Duchess of Cambridge confirmed the reports of her linguistically curious children. While it might be back to business for the residents of Kensington Palace, with both Prince George and Princess Charlotte heading back to school and nursery this week, and both Kate and Prince William out on official engagements, there is one aspect of the festive season that remains for the royal until February.
But Princess Charlotte isn't the only member of the Royal Family who is bilingual.
The Duchess of Cambridge celebrated her 36th birthday earlier this week.
