Princess Charlotte's first day at nursery school has been marked by the release of two pictures taken by her proud mother, the Duchess of Cambridge.
The choice for Charlotte is in contrast to the nursery picked for brother Prince George, who was sent to Westacre Montessori School near the Cambridges' Norfolk home, Anmer Hall.
When it was announced that the princess was going to join the nursery previous year, the school wrote: "We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen the Willcocks Nursery School for Princess Charlotte".
It was announced in December that Princess Charlotte would be attending Willcocks school. "We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January".
In the sweet shots, Princess Charlotte is all smiles and looking 0h-so-very-British in her red coat and matching red shoes and bow.
