Johnson was one of 9 women who came forward a year ago to accuse Roy Moore of sexual abuse.
"I am devastated, just devastated", Johnson told Al.com on Friday morning. Firefighters rushed to the rural one-level house after a utility worker called 911 shortly after 8 a.m., but by the time they were able to quench the flames, Johnson's family home was all but collapsed.
Another neighbor said the man authorities are investigating "approached her as she was getting in her auto that morning and asked if she thought Johnson's house was going to burn".
Investigators said they have a "suspect of interest", but have not released any more details to Johnson or the media.
"We have just the clothes on our backs", she told the website.
During the special election campaign previous year, Tina Johnson accused Moore of grabbing her backside in his office in the early 1990s.

She just sought after right, regardless. "She stood up for justice for her father". I'm standing up, me being his girl", she said in the promotion.
According to the AL.com report, Tina Johnson's home burned down Wednesday while she and her husband were at work and her grandson was at school.
No charges or warrants had been filed as of late Friday afternoon.
Johnson's neighbor Kevin Tallant and others witnessed a young man "walking around the house before and during the blaze".
Police say they have identified a suspect who is known in the area for being drunk and misbehaved.
'He didn't pinch it; he grabbed it, ' she said at the time.
"I was so humiliated and sickened", she said.
Johnson and her family are now living in a motel.
