Leclerc is a current member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, and he is widely considered one of the future stars of Formula One. They have linked up with Alfa Romeo, who will become their title sponsor, for the 2018 season in a deal that marks a return to F1 for the Italian firm after a 30-year absence.
Ferrari was known to be keen on placing both its outstanding junior drivers, Charles Leclerc and Antonio Giovinazzi, at Sauber for 2018 as part of an expanded technical partnership with the team.
The auto is predominantly white with red accents, and large Alfa Romeo logos after the Swiss team confirmed a deal with the manufacturer. He was speaking in Milan at an event marking the launch of Sauber's new partnership with Alfa Romeo.
"I would also like to thank Sauber for their trust and confidence in me as a driver, and look forward to joining the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team for the upcoming season".
