Spacey ultimately left to use the bathroom and when he was out of sight, Unruh's son ran away at the urging of a concerned woman who was nearby, she said.

"The victim - my son - was a starstruck, straight 18-year-old young man who had no idea that the famous actor was an alleged sexual predator or that he was about to become his next victim", Unruh said.

A former TV news anchor said Wednesday that Kevin Spacey sexually assaulted her teenage son at a Nantucket restaurant and that police are investigating.

The claims come amid a wave of other sexual harassment and assault allegations against powerful men in Hollywood, including Oscar-winning mogul Harvey Weinstein, screenwriter James Toback and film director Brett Ratner.

The alleged assault took place in July 2016, said Unruh, who spoke during a press conference about the incident.

"Nothing could have prepared my son for how that sexual assault would make him feel as a man", she said.

"The climate in this country has changed now", she said.

Unruh said her son panicked and froze while Spacey insisted he come with him to a private after-hours party to drink with him more. "There are a lot of people who hide behind keyboards and say really ugly things".

Unruh said the teen filed a report with police last week, and she said a criminal investigation has begun.

Since Anthony Rapp came forward on October 29 to accuse Spacey of sexual misconduct 31 years ago, multiple allegations have continued to surface.

Kathy Griffin Andy Cohen Diss Isn't Funny ... He's 'Deeply Misogynistic'
Well, Griffin caught wind of Cohen's shtick and was not amused, saying Cohen treated her horribly during her time on Bravo. Blogger Perez Hilton shared his own response to Griffin's video and declared that she will never work in Hollywood again.

Nantucket police said they couldn't confirm an investigation, because sexual assault reports are confidential.

Netflix and House of Cards producer, Media Rights Capital released a joint statement condemning Spacey, saying they are "deeply troubled".

Her son is represented by Mitchell Garabedian, an attorney best known for representing clergy sex abuse victims.

"The #weinsteinscandal has emboldened me- #truth time", she tweeted. "I don't know how much she saw", the former news anchor said. "Time the dominoes fell", she wrote.

Kevin Spacey attends the Build Series to discuss his new play "Clarence Darrow" on May 24, 2017 in NY. A publicist said last week that Spacey is "taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment".

Since Rapp made his allegations, Spacey has been hit by at least 10 other claims.

A lawyer for Spacey didn't immediately return an email Wednesday.

The mounting allegations caused Netflix to cut ties with the actor and suspend production on its sixth season indefinitely.

Spacey responded to the allegations writing, "I honestly do not remember the encounter".
