Twitter seems to be President Trump's preferred method of communication these days. After Trump's Twitter account returned, details on what happened started to surface.
Trump's Twitter account has been under scrutiny, not only because he's the U.S. President, but because he uses it a lot.
And @deray tweeted: "I hope that the lives of the existing Twitter employees don't become harder as the result of the one person deactivating Trump's account".
Mr Trump has used Twitter to fight an ongoing battle against the media, repeatedly denouncing unfavourable stories as "fake news" and calling media outlets such as the "failing New York Times" who criticise him. "We are conducting a full internal review", Twitter said in a tweet.
Colorado Police Searching For Scott Ostrem After Walmart Shooting Leaves 3 Dead
According to Colorado court records, while Ostrem declared bankruptcy in 2015, he does not have a lengthy criminal record. Avila said there was no indication the shooting was an act of terrorism and no one had claimed responsibility.
But quite a few Twitter users admitted they would never forget the "minutes of peace" they had while Trump was offline.
Free speech social network Gab also weighed in on the incident, declaring, "A random triggered customer service employee at Twitter can ban the President of the United States".
Trump addressed his account's suspension in a tweet early Friday. Many Twitter users sent out screenshots of the temporarily nonexistent page. It said that it considers a "number of factors" and that one of them is "newsworthiness" - suggesting the tweet will stay up because it is in the "public interest".
A spokesperson for the White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment. After a long 10 minutes, the President's account reappeared and within an hour and a half he started tweeting once more as if this entire ordeal did not even occur.
