E3 2017 had plenty of surprises for Nintendo Switch owners but none were quite out of left field like Rocket League being confirmed for the system. A new trailer has been released to accompany the announcement showing the Battle-Cars in action; watch it below...
Rocket League will feature some exclusive, Nintendo-themed content on Switch. In addition, A Samus' Gunship battle-car will be available for the Orange Team, with a Samus Varia Suit variant coming to the Blue Team. Not only that but the image implies we'll see a Power Star boost trail. The developer said that players will earn them "in-game by completing certain requirements", with the studio promising more details to come in the future.
Rocket League on Switch will also have some exclusive customizations.

Psyonix made sure to state that all three cars will be available for free as special unlockables in the Nintendo Switch version of Rocket League. The "Mario NSR" shows up only in the Orange Team while the "Luigi NSR" appears only in the Blue Team.
Along with these comes a Metroid battle auto that is themed after Samus' gunship. Rocket League will support all of the Switch's play modes, included docked TV mode, tabletop mode, handheld mode, and will feature both online and local multiplayer. This is absolutely the sort of sci-fi vehicle that we can imagine Samus Aran owning and it even comes complete with a Wave Beam boost trail.
