Novoa and Layton have been jailed on corpse-abuse charges, according to CBS.
Two people in OH were arrested after a body of a woman was discovered inside a freezer of a home in the town of Campbell on Saturday (29 July).
Authorities believe the woman is 28-year-old Shannon Graves, who's been missing since February. The residence in question reportedly belonged to friends of Novoa, who had known the suspect for 5 years. He asked if he could store a freezer at their house.
Graves' sister, Debbie DePaul, told WFMJ Monday that Graves was in a relationship Novoa leading up to her disappearance.
Layton then took on Graves' identity by using the dead woman's credit cards and cell phone, driving her auto and caring for her dog.
However, Graves left behind her auto and her dog, which made her family suspect foul play.

UsWeekly reported that alongside the tweet was a screenshot that said, "You are blocked from following @realDonaldTrump and viewing @realDonaldTrump's tweets".
The freezer was padlocked, and the friend apparently had no idea that there was a body inside.
"Early this week, we'll hopefully be able to determine the cause of death and a positive identification", Youngstown Police Lt Doug Bobovnyik said.
Layton, Novoa's new live-in girlfriend, claimed she purchased a new freezer from Walmart July 27. So far investigators have not identified the body.
According to the legal documents, the witness confirmed that Layton had been in "constant contact" with Novoa when he moved the freezer to Eshenbaugh's home. Relatives filed a missing persons report for her in June.
Despite all of this, Graves' family members say they refuse to give up hope for their missing loved one.
