On Friday afternoon, Scaramucci could be seen boarding Air Force One with his "brother" in arms, Priebus, en route to a speech with the president in NY.

Trump tweeted: "I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff".

"He is a great American and a great leader".

The president announced that he would be replacing Priebus with Kelly via Twitter on Friday afternoon.

That victory helped catapult Priebus to the head of the Republican National Committee, putting him in place to oversee Trump's surprise win in November.

"When I put out a tweet and I put Reince's name in a tweet, they're all making the assumption that it's him because journalists know who the leakers are", Scaramucci told CNN on Thursday.

"Reince Priebus has left it all out on the field, for our party and our country", Ryan said in a tweeted statement.

Scaramucci, a Wall Street financier, said Thursday in a television interview that he has a "very good idea who the senior leakers are", adding that he had talked to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and to his "buddies" in the Federal Bureau of Investigation about the matter.

Trump is a passive president who wants Congress to do all of the work while he watches Fox News or plays golf every weekend.

SDCC 2017: AVENGERS ASSEMBLE Is Now AVENGERS: BLACK PANTHER QUEST
The lyrics, after all, are uniquely suited to "Black Panther": "I got, I got, I got, I got / Loyalty, got royalty inside my DNA". While a trailer was released a few weeks ago, the cast and directors were on hand to talk a little bit about the film.

He and Hannity also agreed that "fake news" is a problem, with Priebus even calling it an "epidemic". Scaramucci cited the same tidbit as evidence of their existing ties when he gave his first press conference later that day.

He also addressed a question about Anthony Scaramucci, the new White House director of communications who disparaged Priebus in an R-rated interview with The New Yorker and claimed he would be "asked to resign very shortly". Scaramucci ended the call by saying, "I've gotta start tweeting some s- to make this guy insane", according to The New Yorker article.

When a White House official has been rumored to be on the way out for three months or more, it's probably an act of mercy to let him go.

He also threatened to fire White House staffers who leaked news about a dinner he had with the president. He's a great great American.

And it's possible that the communications director has had enough of the spotlight's glare for now - on Friday, organizers confirmed that Scaramucci's scheduled appearance this weekend at Politicon, a political gathering in Pasadena, California, was scrapped. I don't know if this is repairable or not. The president had focused on Kelly in recent days, telling those close to him that he loved the general's star power and that he believed military discipline was what his administration needed.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that Gen. Kelly would remain the Secretary of Homeland Security until July 31 and then Deputy Sec.

He then directly referenced Priebus and said, "We have had odds, we have had differences". I will continue to serve as a strong supporter of the President's agenda and policies.

Some speculated that Scaramucci was being groomed to take over for Priebus after Trump made it clear that he would not be reporting to the chief of staff, as is the tradition.
