The first Teavana stores to close will be in Canada and will do so by the end of September, the company said in a statement.
Employees will have the opportunity to apply for positions at Starbucks stores, the company said. A press release said the company tried to boost Teavana's sluggish sales "through creative merchandising and new store designs", but expected the "underperformance" to continue. Frontier Airlines offering low fares, direct flights from Buffalo
The new flights on Frontier will be a mix of weekly and daily service, and all new routes will begin before the end of the year. Diamond said the reason Frontier can offer such low prices is by being "aggressive" in figuring out ways to cut costs.
Starbucks CFO Scott Harlan Maw said in a statement: "Over the last several years many mall-based retailers have been adversely impacted by reduced foot traffic".

"Unifying the Starbucks business under a full company-operated structure in China reinforces our commitment to the market", said Johnson, who confirmed plans to double the number of stores in mainland China from 2,800 to 5,000.
Starbucks Corporation shares fell $3.85 (-6.47%) in premarket trading Friday. Most locations will be shuttered by spring 2018. Starbucks will continue to sell Teavana drinks in its Starbucks stores as well as bottled Teavana drinks in grocery stores.
