A teenage driver lost control of her vehicle while she was livestreaming on Instagram and recorded part of the crash that authorities said Monday killed her younger sister in California.
Hernandez said that Instagram did not remove the content and it had been up for 19 hours when she saw and recorded it.
Mary Hernandez, a Stockton resident, chose to record the livestream on her phone, "At first we didn't even want to believe it was real, ' she said". "I recorded it and posted it mainly because as someone who uses Snapchat I see a lot of people driving with their Snapchats doing what she was doing so to me it was like an eye opener". She reposted it to Facebook, and it received 700,000 views before it was taken down by the social media network. The page says she was planning to celebrate her 15th birthday - known as a quincenera - on Sunday. I appreciate the time and love of all of your donations.
