US Democrats in the House of Representatives frustrated by the delay in implementing an earlier sanctions package against Iran and Russian Federation introduced a new sanctions bill yesterday.

"A big thing we have with China was, if they could help us with North Korea, that would be great", Trump said, but noted that the Chinese and Koreans have fought "numerous wars" throughout history, and Beijing can't just order Pyongyang about. Whether the House ever actually makes such a move, however, remains to be seen. "I'm trying to do a bipartisan bill, so I'm totally deferential to the decision made by all of the parties at the table".

Russian Federation has been contemplating its own new wave of counter-sanctions specifically aimed at the ones that Barack Obama brought in back in December 2016.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said he wanted the North Korea sanctions added to the bill.

Taylor also criticized Congress' handling of the USA intelligence community's conclusion that Russian Federation sought to influence the 2016 presidential race in favor of Trump, saying that neither Democrats nor Republicans have taken meaningful steps to deter future efforts to meddle in US elections. But it would take a major shift in Republicans' stances for the effort to produce anything other than political fodder that could be used by Democrats in next year's midterm elections.

The cybersecurity proposal was much more controversial, however, and it nearly immediately resulted in sharp criticism from many leading American figures who claimed that it's ridiculous to work with Russian Federation in this field after the fake news narrative convinced them that Moscow had interfered in the United States election.

The House passed a North Korean sanctions bill in May 419-1, but the Senate has not yet taken up any North Korean sanctions measures.

She said the losers, on the other hand, are the American people who voted for change and are seeing the Trump administration hamstrung by various Russia-related controversies and allegations. Energy companies are also raising concerns about several provisions.

President Donald Trump on Thursday defended his son's meeting with a Russian lawyer, characterizing it as standard campaign practice and maintaining that "nothing happened" as a result of the June 2016 sit-down.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are trying everything to keep the Russian Federation scandal from derailing their congressional agenda, but they are failing.

"We will expose House Republicans' inaction, with their willful, shameful enabling", Pelosi said.

Waters filed the resolution with the Financial Services Committee, which now has 14 legislative days to address it, either by debating it or voting it down.
