PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds hit the ground running when it was released back in March, with updates big and small coming at a steady pace since.

Brendan "Playerunknown" Greene, after saying that it's not as easy as flipping a switch when it comes to first-person servers, has returned bearing good news. The server will present a tougher challenge for hardcore gamers, with a more realistic and limited point of view.

The first-person servers will only be available on solo and duo playlists in European Union and NA regions at first, in order to weed out any bugs, with other regions following suit later.

Man survives shark attack
"It started getting closer to the people at the sandbar and they tried to get out", Donovan Cecil told ABC-affiliate WPLG. In the second attempt, the man gets hold of the shark's tail but the animal turns around and bites the man's hand.

And those who are happy with the third-person regular mode won't have to make a change.

The first-person restricted servers will be included in the next monthly update for the game, which shouldn't be too far away, as the July update has yet to drop. These FPS servers will come only to NA/EU regions first, and only first in solo and duo games. The third-person view allows players to have a better look of their surroundings and check around corners for possible danger, while the first-person view is often used for engaging against enemies for better accuracy. FOV sliders can be crucial in preventing motion sickness, among other things, and are a fixture in most first person games.
