Bank of America Merrill Lynch lowered its estimates for Apple 's iPhone shipments by 11 million for the year, the latest Wall Street firm to expect launch delays. Most notably the software that powers the long-rumored wireless charging isn't up to scratch yet. Sullivan's source says the hardware is complete and working, but the software that runs the wireless charging isn't ready for prime time.
Developers say the front of the new device will be all touch screen, matching a popular feature on competing smartphones.
And even if both of those features are disabled at launch, arguably the biggest feature of the iPhone 8 is seemingly in better shape, with the source saying that "in all likelihood" the fingerprint scanner would be built into the screen. This lines up to a very similar Tweet published by Apple watcher John Gruber just a couple of days ago. Apple's flagship phone is believed to come with some sort of inductive charging.
While the hardware is apparently in reasonable shape, a source speaking to Fast Company claims that certain elements of the software aren't ready. Fast Company's sources believes Apple could add Touch ID under the display.
But that's not all.
There have also been claims and counterclaims Apple may choose not to include a Touch ID sensor in the next machine.
Arab deadline effect: Qatar stock exchange drops
Kuwait's military commander requested the deadline delay to provided more time to mediate the dispute, the Associated Press reported.
Benjamin Geskin, a renowned Apple leakster, revealed pictures of the iPhone 8 with a mirrored silver and a mirrored black finish on Twitter, revealing the iDevice will be available in four new colours, including the mirrored version, plus a white, rose gold and black iteration.
Last year Apple introduced the snazzy Piano Black colour with the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus.
In the past few years, Apple has released two iPhones - a 4.7-inch iPhone and a 5.5-inch iPhone.
The allegations are that Apple has hit some technical problems in the support of claimed future features, face detection and wireless charging for the fabled iPhone 8. If it is not able to fix it before August, Apple may have to give up on the fingerprint technology in favor of facial recognition. A source told Fast Company that it may end up shipping the iPhone 8 with the hardware installed. Now insiders reported that Apple is unable to cope with the development of the scanning system. But reportedly, the new device will not look like any previous iPhone because, it will adopt a new shape.
"Sales went well for Apple due to a number of advantages that will not repeat including a bigger screen and the addition of China Mobile as a new carrier".
