Manchester United and France midfielder, Paul Pogba, has thrown his weight behind embattled goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is now receiving a lot of backlashes after he decided not to sign a new contract with AC Milan.
The news was not warmly welcomed by the Milan fans, some of whom threw fake money towards the shot-stopper while he played for the Italy Under-21s.
He said: "Balotelli had a good career and he is fortunate to have Mino Raiola as an agent to help him earn a lot of money".
Speaking in the wake of such a public fallout, Fassone has insisted that the 'keeper is staying put at AC Milan for now but suggested he would leave on a free transfer next summer.
Lonzo Ball Reportedly Out Of Shape For Lakers Workout
Still, Fox downplayed that point, saying that game shouldn't be a consideration for the Lakers to take him over Ball. The problem? Ball still needed to prove himself to the team at the draft workout this year.
AC Milan's Chief Executive Officer, Marco Fassone, revealed that the player's decision not to extend his contract will set the club back 100 million euros. "I think Nice is the size of club he belongs at".
"I can say that this wasn't a bolt out of the blue because for the past two months we experienced a dicthotomy between what Raiola coherently has been telling every time we talked". I will analyse and evaluate all of them, but our project is clear. Gigio is worth much more than this.
"In any case, I would've found a way of keeping Donnarumma with my abilities, finding a middle ground to let him stay for a while at Milan and then make the big move of his lifetime".
