Embattled comedian Bill Cosby remains "in good spirits" as jurors in his sex assault trial continue deliberations for a second day.
Since the prosecution and the defense gave closing arguments Monday in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, the jury has spent more than 13 hours behind closed doors examining the details of the case and requested that testimony be read back to them during deliberations. I think I asked Andrea if what she was saying really happened. Mr. Cosby stated their encounter was consensual and stated he gave her a Benadryl.
Cosby is charged with drugging and molesting Andrea Constand at his home in 2004.
On Monday, Bill Cosby did not testify in his own defense at the sexual assault trial.
Amid the ongoing (but potentially soon to be concluded) Bill Cosby trial, one person's continued support of the man, despite the dozens of assault accusations lobbed against him, has confounded many.
After taking the pills, Constand said, she had trouble talking and difficulty moving and was suffering double vision, before briefly losing consciousness.
She also asked Cosby's representatives for free tickets for her and her family to see Cosby's stand-up show in Toronto in August, half a year after the alleged assault.

Besides Constand, the fourth day of the trial on Friday, June 9, was attended by two other Cosby accusers, Victoria Valantino and Linda Kirkpatrick. Cosby did not take the stand.
"The true test of family, of friendship, of just loyalty comes (during tough times).", she said. During his interview with Ms. Constand, Sargent Schaffer acknowledged that she was "anxious", a word Cosby had previously used to describe her before given her the pills.
"I don't hear her say anything". Cosby's lawyers, meanwhile, allege that she is a former lover who fabricated her account in a bid to extort their client for money. Kelly Johnson testfied that she was drugged and assaulted in 1996 so prosecutors could establish a pattern.
Jurors did hear Cosby's side of the story - but not in his voice. They say he sexually abused them decades ago, and then defamed them after they went public by having his agents deny the claims and brand them liars.
Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt, who guides the vision-impaired Cosby throughout his day, has drawn throngs of cameras with his updates on Cosby's mood - "very confident", is a common refrain - and assertions that the 79-year-old comedian isn't getting a fair shake.
