Andrea Constand walks to the courtroom during Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa. Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Constand at his home outside Philadelphia in 2004.

Constand said Cosby gave her three blue pills to relax, assured her they were herbal and then sexually assaulted her after the mystery medication left her feeling paralyzed.

Bill Cosby's chief accuser denied under cross-examination Wednesday that they had a romantic relationship before he allegedly drugged and assaulted her, as the comedian's lawyers labored to pick apart her story.

At one point Constand was asked why she continued to have contact with Cosby after he made sexual advances toward her on occasions that occurred prior to the alleged assault, including attempting to unzip her trousers during one visit to his home.

Los Angeles lawyer Angela Agrusa has spent a painstaking hour going over Andrea Constand's old phone records.

"I began to slur my words and I told Mr. Cosby that I had trouble seeing him and I was seeing two of him", she testified of the effects of the pills Cosby told her were supplements. "And I felt him take my hand and place it on his penis and move it back and forth", Constand testified, according to Billy Penn. Before being asked about how she came to meet Cosby, the prosecution asked her to point Cosby out in the courtroom. She also said Cosby was mentoring her for a career in sports broadcast.

"I'm not here for that", she recalled telling him.

Agrusa contended that the advances Cosby made on Constand on two occasions - touching her thigh one time, and attempting to unbutton her trousers and pull down her zipper another - signaled his romantic interest.

The defense lawyer sought to show that Constand changed her mind about the date of the alleged assault.

Constand has never spoken about her encounter with Cosby because the terms of the civil settlement she reached with him in 2006 barred either of them from doing so.

Cross-examination is due to continue on Wednesday.

Gianna Constand says she missed a chance to record the call in which Cosby shared lewd details of the January 2004 encounter. Johnson testified that Cosby assaulted her in 1996, but a lawyer who was involved in a related investigation told the jury that Johnson in an earlier deposition said it occurred in 1990.

"I don't really remember how dim the lights were, but I did have to eat my dinner", Ms Constand said. Prior to the start of proceedings, she approached the defense table, where Cosby rose and warmly greeted her. She revealed that they had been in constant touch to discuss about the renovations of several facilities given to the basketball team.

"It was a very big burden on me, but one that I did not have the courage at the time to tell my family", she said. "He said, 'I apologize to Andrea and I apologize to you'".

Cosby, 79, has been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault, each carrying up to 10 years in prison.

It was the first time Constand, 44, has testified publicly.

Court officials say Allred was complying with rules that require phones be put away. The 13-year-old incident is the only one that is recent enough to support criminal charges.

Constand said she went to a few dinners with Cosby, two times in groups with other individuals. Some came forward after the statute of limitations expired for their cases.
