While Trump Hotels' existing properties are in such major metropolises as New York, Washington and Chicago, the first three American Idea hotels will be in Mississippi, Donald Trump Jr. said in an interview at the event.

At a party at Manhattan's Trump Tower, Donald Trump Jr. said he and his brother, Eric, got a "crash course in America" while traveling across the country with their father's presidential campaign.
After years of spinning out hotels laden with gold leaf and marble, Trump Hotels is launching a hospitality brand positioned for a different kind of clientele.
"There's a market here that we've been missing our entire lives", said Donald Trump, Jr. during the announcement event.
"We don't talk about the activities of the business. It is really about the competence of their business organisation, their marketing ability", Chawla said, adding the partnership with Trump hotels "gives us a platform internationally".
Chawla and his brother own 17 hotels in Mississippi.
"It is giving people a sense of enthusiasm and optimism that they would not have otherwise had. We are thrilled to bring this exciting project to the Mississippi Delta area".

Trump hotels which are usually luxury properties in upscale locations, will now include the midscale and upper-midscale options, competing with almost 20,000 other hotels for a share of the market, according to the Times.
"While we will continue in pursuit of this mission for our luxury Trump Hotels brand, we look forward to leveraging our expertise and experience across the various segments of the hotel business" and serving "many more guests, owners and markets across the nation", Trump Hotels CEO Eric Danziger said in a statement.
Dinesh Chawla described himself as a social liberal and said he would like the Mississippi Scion to become a stop for tourists on the Mississippi Blues Trail and visitors to the Grammy Museum Mississippi, which opened recently nearby.
