Earlier on Saturday, local media reported that a van had hit several pedestrians on London Bridge while a stabbing attack took place at the Borough Market.
Police said they were called just after 10 p.m. (2100GMT) to reports of a vehicle hitting pedestrians on the bridge, which crosses the River Thames in central London. A BBC reporter who was on the bridge at the time said the van was driving around 50 miles per hour.
"Within my line of sight, there were five or six people on the ground that were not moving", he said.
One person told radio news station LBC three men jumped out of the van, armed with knives.
Last month, 22 people were killed and more than 59 others were injured in an explosion outside an Ariana Grande concert in the British city of Manchester that police said was caused by a bomber carrying an improvised explosive device.
She said it was a fast-moving investigation and her thoughts were with "those who are caught up in these awful events".
Ms Jones later reported seeing a man being arrested by police.
"We saw injured people on the road, injured people on the pavement", witness Will Heaven told Sky News.
"She told me in French, "I don't know where those two other people are".

London Bridge is closed both ways due to a police incident, Tfl said, warning the public to avoid the area.
