Available previously for beta users of WhatsApp, the pinned chats feature lets the user fix chats of up to three contacts on top of any other chat.

As things now are, the app is now being rolled out to Android users and this update should be available to download within the next few days. To unpin a chat, long press the pinned chat and tap on the unpin button.

Fernando Alonso departs Spain for Indy 500 practice
Asked whether he was confident he would be starting and finishing on Sunday, the 35-year-old was unwilling to tempt fate. The double-world champion, who is paid a staggering £25million a year, has yet to reach the chequered flag this season.

Besides, WhatsApp has commented, "With pinned chats, you never have to worry about scrolling through the long list of conversations to text your family members or your best friend". A user just has to tap and hold on a chat and the new pin icon will appear along the top of their screen next to delete, mute and archive. The pinned contacts are moved to the top of the chat window for quicker access. The said feature was spotted last month in beta but is now available to download through Google Play. The pin option will appear on the on top.

Still, all send and done, the feature will definitely come in handy if you're waiting on an important message or you are simply too busy to manage your chats. You are also able to unpin the chat just as easily, and this can be done by once again tapping and holding the chat, which will give you a number of options. The chat will remain at the top no matter what other messages you receive. Basically, you can pin a post to the top of the page, for everyone to see. Aidan Bishop of The International lifts the lid on the struggles of running a comedy club in the digital age, and can you really make a living from cracking gags? Once you select, the concerned chat will move down to its regular place in the list of chats.
